Selected.care (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a lead generation and clinic matching service for hair restoration procedures. We connect UK-based patients with vetted international clinics. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are

2. What data we collect
When you complete our assessment form, we collect:
- Contact information: name, email address, WhatsApp number (optional)
- Health-related information: age, hair loss stage (Norwood scale selection), hair loss progression status, previous treatments, medical conditions
- Preferences: preferred clinic region, priority factors, desired density, estimated timeframe
- Technical data: browser type, device information, IP address (collected automatically via standard web server logs)
3. How we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- Match you with suitable hair restoration clinics based on your assessment
- Share your assessment details with matched clinics so they can prepare a personalised proposal
- Communicate with you about your enquiry
- Improve our service and website
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your data based on:
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(a)): You explicitly consent to the processing of your personal data, including health-related data, when you submit the assessment form and tick the consent checkbox.
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)): For technical data and website analytics, where our interest in improving the service does not override your rights.
5. Who we share your data with
We share your assessment data with:
- Matched clinics: Hair restoration clinics in Turkey, Hungary, Spain, and Poland that we have vetted and that match your criteria. Typically 1-3 clinics per assessment.
- Service providers: We use Google Workspace (email, data storage) and n8n (workflow automation) to process your data. These providers act as data processors on our behalf.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing companies.
6. International transfers
When we match you with clinics outside the UK, your data is transferred to those clinics in the relevant country (e.g., Turkey, Hungary, Spain, Poland). By submitting the assessment form and providing consent, you acknowledge this transfer. Where possible, we use standard contractual clauses or ensure adequate safeguards are in place.
7. How long we keep your data
- Assessment data: Retained for 12 months from submission, then deleted
- Technical logs: Retained for 90 days
- Email correspondence: Retained for 24 months
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict processing
- Data portability – receive your data in a structured format
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
